Incident Dispatcher Corinna Jacobs at the

TACTICAL DISPATCH TEAM

Baker County Consolidated 9-1-1 Dispatch maintains a trained team of Incident Dispatchers.  These dispatchers are available to respond to major incidents and/or special; events occurring in the field to provide on site communications support.

Incident dispatchers can relieve Incident Commanders of sometimes burdensome communications duties freeing them for other activities.  At the same time, the dispatcher center is relieved of some of the radio traffic from the scene which can be handled by the on-scene communications personnel.

Incident dispatchers can respond with the dispatch center’s well equipped  4WD SUV communications support unit and/or the center’s mobile communications unit (a Type III 24 foot modified and specially equipped travel trailer).

Incident Dispatchers train with the Baker City Police/Baker County Sheriff/Oregon State Police Emergency Response Team as well as the various city, county and rural fire agencies in our region.  Requests for Baker County Incident Dispatchers can be made via public safety radio systems or by calling 541-523-6415.
